AX PC Pro by Tritton Technologies

The AX PC Pro by Tritton Technologies is designed for those gamers who really need to hear every little sound in the background.

I am told that this matters, because many games are encoded with 5.1 surround sound, which is not compatible on most PCs and laptops.

Inside the AX PC Pro are eight precision speakers that have been “strategically placed to provide maximum accuracy, clarity and heart thumping bass”. Tritton claims that it is a 3D audio experience, which might be very cool once 3D video games start to surface on PCs.
The AX PC Pro connects to the PC via USB, and it is easily detachable in case you need to leave the headphones behind for any reason. Not only that, but it is good for two-way communication with the microphone, optimized for computer gaming.
The AX PC Pro is sort of the next version of the AX Pro, but the AX PC Pro looks exclusively built for the PC, while the AX Pro is for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
I got to try these things out a PAX 2009 in Seattle this year, and I will have to say that they worked quite well. I will also say that this will be the last time that I mention PAX 2009 on this blog.
You should be able to get the AX PC Pro from Tritton Technologies on Amazon for a little under $99.99.
