Beetel Teletech launches new Android tablet for Rs. 9,999

Beetel Teletech, a Bharti Enterprises group company, has announced the launch of their new Android Tablet called Beetel Magiq, for the Indian market. The new tablet will be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and will operate on Android’s Froyo 2.2 Operating System.Beetel's new Magiq tablet

As part of the specs, the 7-inch tablet will have a WVGA touch screen, 2MP front and rear camera and 8GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 16 GB. Whether the touch screen will be capacitive or resistive hasn’t really been disclosed by the company but it might be a defining factor in the sales of this product. The Magiq also has Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options, which is definitely a strong point for any tablet. The Magiq has a 2200 mAh battery but no information about usage time has been divulged yet. As with all tablets, running a 1GHz processor and having both Wi-Fi and 3G, the tablet will have to use every bit of its available power if it needs to make a telling impression.

The Magiq will retail for Rs. 9,999 which is an extremely impressive price for a tablet. But considering the price, we believe it would end up being a resistive touch screen. If not, it’s definitely the old Samsung Galaxy Tab’s competitor at a much cheaper price.
