If you are in the mood to splash some cash this Akshaya Tritiya, here's another gold-plated product that could excite you. London and Dubai based Gold & Co. unveiled the world’s first 24-carat Gold Plated iPad 3 in Dubai last month.

 After display the first unit in the world will be auctioned and all funds raised will be donated to charity.

Gold & Co. London unveiled their new version of the 64GB 4G and Wifi enabled device plated in 24-carat Gold and showcased it alongside their 24-carat Gold Plated 64GB iPhone 4S and BlackBerry 9900.

The bespoke products are plated in pure 24-carat gold and presented in wooden boxes.

Each unit is custom made, individually numbered and is limited to strictly to a maximum 250 pieces per region per year.

Gold & Co. London iPad 3 is available for sale at $5499, while the iPhone 4S is available for $4349 and the BlackBerry 9900 is available for $2449. All Gold & Co. London products are now available at Pune-based Evolve in India.
